I truly believe that learning music is one of the most useful and rewarding experiences a person can have. Not only is music fun and enjoyable, it also teaches valuable life skills, such as problem-solving, team-work and imagination.

Having taught for a number of years, both privately and for as Chorister Tutor for Romsey Abbey, Hampshire, I am always keen to teach with enthusiasm and creativity. Often, beginners struggle to concentrate or commit the time to learning. I believe that this can be overcome through encouragament, creative motivation and inspiring them to have confidence in themselves to enjoy their learning.

It is not my job to force a person to learn, it is my job to inspire them to want to learn.

I have just gained my MA in Advanced Operatic Performance  at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama after completing an Undergraduate degree in Music and Philosophy at the University of Southampton. Both of these establishments are in the top of their field respectively for perforance and music research.

I also have graded music qualifications in Piano, Voice and Music theory from ABRSM and Trinity.

I teach up to Grade 5 in Piano and to Grade 8 for Voice.

I also teach Music Theory and Songwriting.

If you would like a trial lesson with me, I offer the first half an hour free of charge.

Feel free to contact me for further details or to book a lesson.
